PVC bulkhead fitting (also known as a tank adapter) used to connect a tank to pipe work.

Bulkhead fittings create a leak-proof seal between the tank and pipe work. Part of the fitting goes inside the tank and the other part screws to the outside, the bulkhead is a union between inside/outside.
