Description
Water in which the pH is below 7 is acidic, which can cause pipework corrosion, staining of baths and sinks, and leaving a distinctive metallic taste. Installing a ph correction filter as part of a borehole filtration system helps raise the pH above 7, reduces the problems associated with acidic water and makes the water more palatable. The ph correction water filters we supply are designed to improve the ph levels by passing the water through a vessel that slowly dissolves calcium and magnesium salts. These salts slowly dissolve into the water, 're-mineralising’ the water and naturally raising the pH. These borehole water filters can also filter out any iron or manganese contaminants in the water by trapping them in the vessel and improving the quality of the private water supply.
These high-quality private water supply filters are available with Corosex and Juraperle ph correction media, depending on your private water supply quality. Juraperle ph correction media is a granular media made up of 99.4% calcium carbonate. Due to its micro-crystalline structure, this media has a superior performance to limestone, dissolves very slowly, is free from soluble constituents and has a low silica content. However, if substantial correction of the ph is needed or the flow rate is high, you might need to consider Corosex filtration media, a highly reactive magnesium oxide salt.
As a leading water pump and filtration supplier, we also offer ph correction filters with a backwashing head that wash away any accumulated iron and manganese. These in/out pH correction units have the water flowing the opposite way down the riser and up through the media, which keeps the media free and clean.
