Description
The Arsenic Removal System is designed to offer an effective, hassle-free and dependable solution for removing arsenic in a private water supply. Arsenic is found in waters in many parts of the UK, and its removal is vital for eliminating the health risks it has. The arsenic comes from the underground rocks through which the groundwater percolates and can easily contaminate the drinking water supply if you have a well, borehole or spring. The legal limit of arsenic in drinking water is 10ug/ll, meaning that if your water sample testing shows anything above this, you need to consider installing this arsenic filtration system to prevent further health risks and improve the quality of your private water supply.
The arsenic removal filter comes with Bayoxide* Arsenic Removal Media, a dry crystalline media similar to amorrphorphous iron hydroxide but specifically formulated to give a high arsenic removal capacity. As the water travels through the media, the arsenic is removed and held within the borehole filtration system. This borehole water filter media is strong, reliable and easy to handle, offering a dependable solution for homes with arsenic content in their water supply.
This borehole water filter for arsenic removal comes with timer options that can be set to automatically self-clean (backwash) and wash away any of the accumulated sediment but hold on to the accumulated arsenic. When the media in the arsenic removal system becomes full, it can easily be replaced with fresh media. These arsenic filters can also be used in conjunction with other filters such as sediment backwash filters if the water has high turbidity, iron and manganese filters or pH correction filters if the pH of the water is very low.
